Review: Cozy Coupe from Little Tikes for a classic toy to last

‘It’s only inside for a bit since it’s new. It’s really going in the garden’

Every time we’ve had visitors over in the past weeks I’ve tried to excuse the car. The car is mostly parked in the middle of the kitchen, and it’s the reason I seem to be doing at least 20 laps around the kitchen island every day.

It’s the Cozy Coupe from Little Tikes, which we received to review, and it’s become one of our favourite family toys. I’ve seen other London families use the Cozy Coupe in gardens similar to ours with artificial grass, and when we received one I was planning on bringing it outside straight away.

The problem is that it’s too popular, and I can’t always take Baby Boy–now a toddler–outside to sit in his car. He was sitting in it even before we had finished putting it together, and it’s simply been more convenient to let him sit in the Cozy Coupe in the kitchen.

In the kitchen, he’s got the perfect race course, and both me and four-year-old Big Girl are pushing him around–at least until Big Girl wants to go in it herself.

Cozy Coupe (£54.99), which was first sold in 1979, is designed for children aged 18 months to 5 years, and it features a horn, door lock and key.

pushing-cozy-coupeI’ve tried a giant-sized Cozy Coupe twice before, and I can see why little ones continue to enjoy the classic, sturdy toy cars with 360-degree spin wheels at the front.

When I’ve tried the cars, my feet have been on the floor, but in the red and yellow one we now have at home we’ve installed a floor panel that comes with the car. The panel means Baby Boy sits with his feet in the car and we can push him around without him stopping the car.

The classic Cozy Coupe (£54.99) in red and yellow works for both boys and girls, which is ideal for us, and I also love the newer Cozy Coupe black cab and Cozy Coupe yellow cab.

And Cozy Coupe fans can do more than drive around inside and outside in their cars. There’s also a Cozy Coupe Club to join for £10, and there are accessories like Cozy Coupe trailers and a Cozy Pumper to ensure the Cozy Coupe is always filled up and ready to go.

The ultimate classic ride-on toy for boys and girls!
