Review: The Cuddle Company personalised blanket for baby on the go

‘You don’t need to bring much, right?’

We’re planning Baby Boy’s first holiday away, and Daddy T seems to assume that we’ll be travelling light since baby clothes are really ‘very tiny’. I have a feeling he’ll be in for a shock though. I’m not only bringing Baby Boy’s entire wardrobe, but also a wide selection of baby essentials.

One of the few things I’m packing that he really can’t complain about in terms of size and weight, however, is the personalised travel blanket Baby Boy received from The Cuddle Company.

The Design Your Own travel blanket (£29), which also makes a unique baby gift as it can be personalised with baby’s name and made in a variety of colours and prints, is ideal for travelling, as it is lightweight and can work as both a blanket to cover up baby on the go and as a play mat.

I plan to use the soft, textured blanket as a holiday play mat for Baby Boy, as we’ll need to have somewhere he can lie and look at toys and books during his awake time. Since one side of the blanket is textured it is interesting for baby to touch and ideal for sensory development, and at Baby Boy’s age, a blanket like this makes a good ‘play area’.

The added bonus of the texture is also why I’ve used it on his activity gym at home, and I’m not surprised he seems to like lying on his soft, dotted blanket.
