Review: Cute handmade baby moccasins by Yellow Bird Bazaar
When I received a sample of hand made baby leather moccasins from London-based Yellow Bird Bazaar this week, I started thinking about where we were at a year from now. Baby Girl then started crawling and pulling herself up and I started looking into footwear. It seemed much better to put something on top of her socks, such as soft baby ‘shoes’ when she was at this stage, and the colourful moccasins from Yellow Bird Bazaar would have been a good choice.
I like the fact that Yellow Bird Bazaar was set up by London mum Max, who has a 10-month old daughter and a background in design. All the shoes are handmade by her and a local seamstress.
The moccasins come in size 0-3 months to 18-24 months. The cherry blossom pink baby moccasins we received in size 18-24 months are a generous fit on Baby Girl, who wears shoe size 22 now. I think these types of shoes, however, are even better for pre-walkers to wear indoors, as the soft leather means they can be a bit slippery for toddlers on the run.
