0Review: Bright Faye and Lou muslins for quality and versatility
‘Here you go!’
Baby Girl is taking her big sister role very seriously. She keeps bringing me things she thinks I need, and muslin cloths are among her favourite items to get me. I don’t even have to ask. My 2.5-year-old is fully aware that I’m almost always in need of a muslin cloth these days.
That’s why I’ve been very excited about the muslins I received to review from British brand Faye and Lou, created by experienced London nannies and known for a colourful collection of quality muslins .
I love the star print Rainbow Muslins from Faye and Lou, which come in a four pack (£16) or seven pack (£28.95) and have stayed bright despite being washed constantly. I’m using them every day as burp cloths, for putting under Baby Boy’s head in the Moses basket and Cooconababy to protect the sheets, and to create shade for baby when Baby Boy’s in the car seat on the Stokke Scoot v2 pushchair. The cotton fabric feels strong, and the coloured print is not only stylish, but also practical for messy days.
The muslins would also be a convenient size as a changing mat liner for when we’re out and about, and I also found the size to be fine for swaddling in the first weeks.
For swaddling blankets for baby, however, the Cozio Extra Large Muslins from Faye and Lou are ideal, and these can also be used as breastfeeding covers, as covers for creating shade in the buggy, as baby blankets and more.
Muslins are incredibly versatile, and it’s not a coincidence Baby Girl has realised walking around with muslins makes her a very helpful big sister. She’s clearly becoming a mini expert in baby care – and a mini expert in recognising sweet and good quality muslins.
