Review: Firezza pizza takeaway in London for quiet nights in

Before Big Girl was born I tried to resist change, hoping we could still do many of the things we loved despite having a baby in tow. After a while I realised, however, that some takeaway menus could come in handy. We were used to regularly eating out, and there was no denying that this did change with baby.

We didn’t drag her around London at night. Instead, I asked a friend for her favourite takeaway restaurants. For pizza, she suggested Firezza, a takeaway specialist available all over London, and we started ordering pizzas with parma ham and rocket leaves from there now and then.

When I was offered the opportunity to review a pizza from Firezza this year, it was suddenly a long time since we’d tried it as there seem to be so many take away opportunities in London now. Pizza, however, is still a favourite for a relaxing evening in when we haven’t had a chance to cook.

The Italian-style pizzas we tried arrived warm and were tasteful and crusty despite one being a bit burnt on the crust. Our favourite was the Tirolese with speck and buffalo mozzarella-the pizza which will be my first choice next time too.

The pizzas we tried this week reminded me of why we used to order from Firezza and Firezza will continue to be on my takeaway list for favourite pizza delivery services.

Firezza offers a selection of Italian-style pizzas, salads and sides like Focaccia and garlic pizza bread. The Chelsea branch on Finborough Road offers take-out and delivery
