0Review: First haircut with mobile London children’s hairdresser Lina’s Magic Scissors
I’m not surprised Baby Girl looked in the mirror and said ‘pretty’ last Tuesday. She looked pretty amazing after having her hair cut and pleated for the very first time.
The friendly Lina from Lina’s Magic Scissors, who was previously manager of the Harrods Children’s Salon before it closed, had offered to come to our house to cut Baby Girl’s hair, so we could test her mobile children’s hairdressing service.
It seemed like the perfect way for Baby Girl to have a first hair cut, as I figured it would be super convenient to have an experienced children’s hairdresser come to our house.
And it ended up being a brilliant experience. Baby Girl could sit in her own high chair, and she was very excited to have Lina, who is originally from Denmark, visiting. Lina had brought a little suitcase full of ponies and brushes, which Baby Girl seemed to love. Baby Girl didn’t seem to tire of these ponies, and she also appeared to enjoy wearing the colourful hairdressing gown and being the centre of attention while Lina gave her hair a little trim.
I got very excited when Lina had finished cutting and pulled out a book of hair styles and hair accessories for Baby Girl to choose from. Baby Girl instantly picked a pink rose clip and Lina plaited her hair and put in two pink roses.
After Lina had swept up the hair and said her goodbyes, we practically ran out of the house. We had to go out to meet friends and show off Baby Girl’s adorable plaits!
Lina, who has worked as a children’s hairdresser for 11 years, offers home visits for children’s hair cuts for £22, including cut and finish. See details about the areas she covers on her website. A hair cut takes around 30 minutes, and she can do weekdays or weekends and is flexible on times.
