Review: Folpetto swimwear for chic and practical kids UV swimwear

In the last few days one of the things I’ve been talking to friends about is UV swimwear. It’s about finding the best brands and the cutest styles.  And that’s why Folpetto has come up in conversations.

This summer I’ve tested brand new UV swimwear brand Folpetto, started by a London mum, and the brand offers chic and practical pieces that are ideal for holidays in the sun.

Folpetto launched its first collection of swimwear for boys and girls aged one to eight in June. The swimwear is made of recycled fabrics from regenerated fish nets and offers UPF 50+ sun protection.

I think the girls swimwear is particularly cute, featuring ruffles and bows. There are girls swim pants, bikinis, swimsuits and rash guards in peach and ivory and dusty blue and ivory. Many pieces would be easy to mix and match, which makes the brand great for parents looking to buy several pieces before a holiday.

One of my favourites from the collection is the Isabella swim pants (£25) we received to review, and I think this would look gorgeous with the chic, long-sleeved Lucie rash guard (£35). The rash guard could also be worn with other swim pants in the collection, and there are also front zip rash guards in unisex styles that look very practical for wearing with different swimwear and easy to put on.
