Review: GetPaidTo for mums who shop online

I didn’t feel I did much shopping after having a baby the first time, but Daddy T seemed to disagree. I probably didn’t visit any shops, but I happened to be quite good at lying in bed shopping on my mobile. Since many mums are brilliant at online shopping, I think it’s worth knowing about a new shopping site launched recently called GetPaidTo, which offers members cashback on purchases.

I remember using a cashback site for booking hotels when working full time and having access to a corporate site, but since then I’ve forgotten about these types of offers, and I was excited about going to the London Eye launch event for GetPaidTo.

By using GetPaidTo shoppers can earn cashback on purchases on a large number of sites, including Disneyland Paris, Disney Store, Hamleys, The Entertainer, Blossom Mother and Child, Petit Bateau, Trunki and JoJo Maman Bebe.

Users log in to GetPaidTo, click on the link to the relevant retailer, and shop with the retailer as normal, but with the bonus of having the cashback added to their GetPaidTo account. The cashback earned can be redeemed later, but it is worth more if spent on doing more shopping via GetPaidTo.

It’s also possible to boost cashback by completing tasks, and at the event, I was told earning additional funds was easy to do in my downtime. I still feel ‘downtime’ has been pretty non-existent for the past years with a baby and now toddler, so I can’t see myself completing these tasks. However, for mums who commute by public transport, or perhaps just struggle to sleep one night, it’s possible to earn more cashback by filling in a survey, watching a video or playing a game.
