0Review: Lalaloopsy Mini Princess Castle for a girly play set to inspire imaginative play
‘Just rip it open!’
Four-year-old Big Girl was extremely excited when a Lalaloopsy Mini Princess Castle arrived for her to review the other day. It’s pretty hard not to like a large pink box with a whimsical castle with pretend sweetie decorations and a princess inside, and seeing her expressions made me think that the set was something we should consider getting for a friend as a Christmas present.
It is part of the new Lalaloopsy Mini Princess collection and includes a princess castle with three towers, tiny accessories like a cake tray, sparkly purse, mugs and cake, and one princess, Goldie Luxe, with plastic clothes and hair easy to take on and off.
Goldie Luxe can be dipped in a cup of ice cold water for an area on her dress to change from pink to purple-exactly the type of feature Big Girl loves.
The princess can also stand on the spinning dance floor, held up by a little stand, and there’s space for more princess dolls, so if bought as a great Christmas present for a little girl, I would buy both the Lalaloopsy Mini Princess Castle (£29.99) and an extra Lalaloopsy Mini Style N Swap Doll ((£9.99).
Big Girl’s princess castle is now the home of not only the princess that came with the set, but also several little animal characters that she decided liked the look of the pink royal abode. Inside these animals now enjoy relaxing in a little hammock and on the outside there’s a mini cup lift they can go in.
The princess is too big to make full use of some of these features, which is why I think Big Girl’s idea to move some little figurines into the castle as well was a pretty good plan. My problem was only pulling her away from it and getting her to go to bed the day she started playing with this. It ended in her insisting to at least sleep with the castle next to her bed.
Sweet to play with and sweet to dream about!
