Review: nununu spring/summer collection for laid-back cool kids fashion

Some of the clothes I’m most tempted to buy for myself these days are clothes for a relaxed lifestyle–laid-back quality pieces with a luxe feel. And after the children received some pieces from the new nununu spring/summer 2018 collection they also seem to be rocking this trend.

I’ve collaborated with children’s fashion brand nununu on reviews in the past year, and the pieces we’ve tried from the new collection continue to deliver on softness and cool-factor.

After horse-riding in the country the other day, Big Girl changed into the new nununu balloon dress in powder pink (from £54), which we paired with a cream-coloured hoodie. The dress looks like a t-shirt with a matching skirt with volume and it seemed like the ideal outfit for running around outside in the sun before sitting down for a hotel lunch.

I can see the dress quickly becoming a favourite, as it looks comfortable to wear and it appears to be a practical staple piece for a summer wardrobe for a little one.

For boys, I’ve realised joggers are a must. Even if we’re going out for a family brunch, Big Boy can easily be dressed in the most comfortable of clothes. That’s why the classic heather grey solid sweat pants with a drawstring waist (from £48), which Big Boy received from the new nununu collection, have been spot on. Dressed in the joggers, he looks comfortable and cool, and they can be paired with a basic tee for a relaxed look or dressed up with a classic shirt.

The nununu collection includes a range of uber trendy clothes in grey, black, white and dusty pink, and some of the soft basics make for versatile and practical pieces that can also be paired with timeless classics.

Big Girl, who turns 6 this year, wears the balloon dress in size 6-7 years in the pictures, and Big Boy, who turns 3, wears the solid sweat pants in size 3-4 years.
