0Review: Practical kids rucksack from Babymel
Based on how busy Battersea Park was on Saturday, I’m sure I wasn’t the only mum who had spent the morning desperately searching for picnic blankets and beach bags. I soon realised the blankets were in storage for the winter season, and I only managed to locate one beach bag. But I was thrilled Baby Girl had recently received a sample rucksack from London-based Babymel for me to review.
The Babymel rucksack, suitable for children aged 3 years and up, was perfect for going out in the park. I filled it with toys in the main compartment and snacks in the removable, insulated lunch bag. It is spacious for a kids rucksack, which made it perfect to take out with us, and I’m sure we’ll be using it for travelling when she’s over 3 and big enough to carry it herself.
The rucksack (£25) has padded shoulder straps, and it’s also got several practical features, such as pockets for a bottle and pens or crayons. The best part is perhaps that it’s made from phthalate free and wipe-clean material, which was particularly useful on Saturday when Baby Girl tasted raspberry jam.
The tea party design, new for this season, is cute for girls, and I like the fact that it’s both pink and red, as it goes with both red and pink outfits. Very convenient.
