Review: Scoot ‘n Pull for getting tired scooter users home

When I was spotted in Chelsea carrying Baby Girl, her scooter, her helmet and a large tote, a dad came over and said I should head up to Trotters to buy a strap for the scooter like the one he used for pulling his toddler after him.

The next day I was again out with Baby Girl, who also this time had decided she didn’t want to scoot any further, and the friends we were with said the same as the Chelsea dad. I realised we needed the Scoot ‘n Pull, and was thrilled when I received one as a sample to review.

The scooter strap from Scoot ‘n Pull is only £6.99, and looking back, we should have just bought one of these when buying the scooter. When Baby Girl is in the mood for being pulled on the scooter, it’s super easy to get from A to B at a decent pace. Before we had it, I was mostly pushing her along and this was pretty exhausting.

Now–when she’s in the mood for it–I let her know that I will pull the scooter, ensuring she doesn’t start with a jolt and fall off, and I watch out for the uneven bits in the street. She steers, and we’re off. I much prefer having Scoot ‘n Pull for the days my strong-minded toddler feels like being pulled on her scooter.

Scoot ‘n Pull can also be used as a shoulder strap for carrying the scooter, and in addition for being useful for getting tired children home , it can be practical for keeping them close to you in busy places and when crossing streets. Scoot ‘n Pull must be used by adults, and ideally on a three-wheel scooter. It has a warning of 0-3 on it, and it should be removed or tied up when it isn’t being used.

Do you have any good recommendations for scooters? My daughter is 16 months and nearly walking independently. When is a good time to get her a scooter?
