0Review: Skip Hop Moby Bath Thermometer for making bathtime safe and fun for baby
If I were to fill in a school registration form for Baby Boy now and specify his interest, I think I would have to put ‘swimming’. His favourite time of day is bathtime, when I hold him and swish him from side to side in his Stokke flexi-bath.
With him in that bath every day is his cute blue whale, the Skip Hop Moby Bath Thermometer (£19) we received to review. I’ve been a fan of the functional and colourful bath toys from New York-based brand Skip Hop for some time, and the whale is another cleverly designed Skip Hop product.
Moby, which looks like a sweet toy whale, floats around Baby Boy’s bath, ensuring the water is the right temperature for him. The bath thermometer, something I had on my baby shopping list before Baby Boy was born, displays the temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius, and a green light indicates it is warm enough for Baby Boy.
If the water is too hot, there’s a red light flashing and if it’s too cold, a blue light appears. Bathtime can be pretty hectic–particularly with a newborn and a toddler–and the light makes it super easy to see the temperature and avoid accidents or unnecessary crying caused by too hot or cold water.
When Moby is not in use, we store him on the side of the bath tub, where he stays put due to his suction cup on the base. He can even be used as a hook on the wall because of his handy tail.
With my Scandinavian background, I love cool and functional products, and Skip Hop Moby delivers on both. Only the best for Baby Boy!
