Review: Smocked Christmas dresses from Amelia Brennan

Every morning I spend around 15 minutes negotiating an outfit with 27-month-old Baby Girl. Six months ago I used to be able to get us out of the house in the same amount of time. Now I’m stuck in her room trying to convince her that each outfit I suggest–only dresses and skirts of course –are good for dancing.

And when Baby Girl saw the smocked dress we received to review from children’s clothing brand Amelia Brennan it passed the test. The pretty smocked, long-sleeved dress, which works for both everyday wear and birthdays, is a brilliant dancing winter dress for Baby Girl.

The one Baby Girl has is in a pink floral print fabric, but if you’re looking for more festive outfits, Amelia Brennan’s collection of winter dresses also includes a sweet red needlecord smocked dress and a Blackwatch tartan smocked dress (see pictures above), which appear to be ideal for Christmas.

Traditional-looking smocked dresses can look adorable on little girls – particularly at Christmas time – and one of the dresses from Amelia Brennan even reminds me of a smocked dress I’ve seen myself pictured in as a baby.
