0Review: Interactive Spot book for teaching children to tell the time
They wake up at the same time. They both like to go out on the scooter at the same time. They eat dinner at the same time, and they go to bed at the same time.
Wow!
Baby Girl and Spot have so much in common.
In the board book What’s the Time, Spot? (£8.99, Puffin Books), which we received to review, you can read about Spot’s busy day, and on each double page Spot does a new activity.
The great thing is that Spot happens to have a similar routine to many toddlers and preschoolers, and I think it is easier for Baby Girl to engage with the story when she’s familiar with all the things Spot gets up to during his day.
The book has a built-in clock face with hands to turn to show what time Spot does each different activity, making the book interactive and fun for playtime. Baby Girl also has another book with a clock like this , and I think these books are brilliant for teaching children about telling the time and how clocks work.
Telling the time is a key skill to learn, and What’s the Time, Spot? makes learning fun for toddlers and preschoolers.
