0Review: Why I like Oxo Tot sippy cups for babies and toddlers
In autumn, I received a sample sippy cup set to review from Oxo Tot, but it wasn’t the first time I had tried this brand. I had been a fan for more than a year after trying a large number of sippy cups for babies and toddlers. One of the issues I had with some of the ones we tried were that the teats seemed to break easily, and others were difficult to clean.
The Oxo Tot range of sippy cups are BPA, phthalate and PVC free, but they’re not too soft, so my little one hasn’t been able to bite off any plastic like she’s had in other sippy cups. The Oxo Tot sippy cup set is particularly good for it’s longevity, as you can use it from six months when you start weaning, but it can later transform to a trainer cup.
The cup, which has a leak-proof valve and non-slip angled handles designed for little hands, comes with a training cup lid with a removable insert. When baby is ready to move from a sippy cup to a training cup you can keep the insert to control flow, and when they no longer need the insert you take it out and use it as a normal cup. The handles are also removable, but I’ve kept ours on and I alternate between using the sippy cup option and trainer cup option as it’s useful to have the valve when we’re out and about, for example.
I like these cups so much that I’m sure I’ll be stocking up on green or blue for my next baby later this year!
