05 signs we’ve had a baby in the last week
1. When leaving Monkey Music on Wednesday we were standing on Chester Square in Belgravia for half an hour, trying to watch demo videos on our iPhones and read up on internet forums to find out how to remove the Stokke Scoot v2 car seat adaptors from Baby Boy’s Maxi-Cosi Pebble car seat, as the car seat adaptors were completely stuck and we couldn’t get baby into the car. (Push the two round buttons next to the carry handle on the car seat to release the car seat adaptors)
2. On Day 7, we left the house for a few hours with a fully-packed changing bag, but after a little accident and a need to undress baby at the back of a church hall, we soon realised we’d forgotten to bring baby wipes or cotton wool. Brilliant timing
3. When going out for an early morning coffee on New King’s Road on Thursday Daddy T was soon sent out to check the pharmacy opening times to find out when we would be able to make a move, as I’d suddenly realised I wouldn’t really be able to walk home or where we were meant to be going without having taken any painkiller for the c-section pain, which I’d somehow forgotten about for the past 12 hours
4. As soon as Daddy T had gotten hold of the painkillers, he was sent back to the pharmacy. It turned out I’d also completely forgotten about the risk of bleeding after childbirth, and after bumping into five friends already that morning I didn’t really want to be strolling around Parsons Green without taking necessary precautions
5. When barbecuing in the garden Daddy T commented that he wasn’t sure if our Randalls burgers were well done this time, but I assured him that I really couldn’t care any less. Even ‘bleu’ would be perfectly fine with me
