0When baby needs constant soothing
Baby Boy is nothing like what I thought a second baby would be like. I thought he would cry less than my first, and I thought he would be sitting in a bouncer smiling more than my first one did.
Not working.
He spends most of his time hanging over my shoulder or sleeping in my lap, and when I leave him in a baby chair to prepare food or eat, for example, he will usually start whining. That’s why I’ve come to love his newest teddy. Or more specifically, he’s come to love his newest teddy.
We’ve received the My First Forever Friends Bedtime Lightshow by Golden Bear Toys (£29.99) to review, and when I had help looking after Baby Boy the other day my one instruction was to turn on teddy if he started crying.
It is designed to create a calming environment at bedtime, but in our case we need to create a calming environment throughout the day too, so we use it all day.
Baby Boy appears to find his teddy soothing, and he clearly enjoys watching the starry lightshow in warm tones of red and orange, which has a calming effect, and listening to the two lullabies My First Forever Friends Bedtime Lightshow teddy can play.
The teddy also comes with volume controls and a photoholder on one foot, which is a nice little detail. My only wish would be that the lullabies could play for longer, as that could make it even easier to get Baby Girl and me our breakfast in the mornings.
Sometimes it helps with a bit of peace!
