5 things I didn’t know before becoming a South West London mum

  1. Black cabs make London the perfect city for families–you can push the buggy straight into the cab and many of them even have a hidden child car seat in the armrest
  2. Reserving a table for breakfast at Tom’s Kitchen on Cale Street is not only about the delicious blueberry pancakes–it’s also about enjoying the sweet children’s breakfast menu
  3. St Luke’s playground is the place to see and be seen–whether you’re looking to catch up with old work contacts or friends, there are bound to be someone you know at St Luke’s on a busy Sunday
  4. It can be just as fun to go out for a Sunday lunch as a Saturday dinner–restaurants like Eight Over Eight, Bar Boulud and The Wolseley are popular with families on Sundays at lunch time
  5. You don’t have to feel bad about dragging your little one up to Notting Hill early on a weekend to secure a table at Granger & Co–they do a brilliant babyccino (see picture above) with chocolate buttons on the side
