0Finding stylish birth announcement cards
‘Should I paint one for my baby?’
When we received a birth announcement card from friends and Baby Girl recognised the baby in the gorgeous photo, she was quick to realise that her baby should have one of those too. She figured she could help and paint one we could send out, but having just finished a never-ending project of making 20 birthday invitations, I wasn’t too keen on starting on around fifty birth announcement cards too.
Instead, I convinced her that this time we could order some. I was keen to try a British-based bespoke stationery supplier, and was excited when I discovered CocoCards birth announcements, which I liked since they offer trifold designs and had received brilliant feedback from customers.
CocoCards offers a personalised service, where customers receive email proofs of designs, and the designs available on the website can also be amended to suit customer requirements. Colours can be adapted, wording can be tweaked and fonts can be changed.
When I was struggling to decide on the best design for us, I was emailed the ones I was looking at to compare, which made it much easier to also involve Daddy T in the decision making, as I had something concrete to show him. We received the cards–which we received a discount on to review–in a few days after ordering, and I was happy with the quality, as the paper feels thick and the trifold design is lovely since the cards can stand on their own.
The cards come with white envelopes, but it would also have been possible to order matching hand-lined envelopes as an extra, which can make the cards appear even more unique and luxurious. The trifold birth announcement cards from CocoCards start from £1.25, which I think is a good price, as one of the other suppliers I looked at had trifold cards for around £4 per card.
After experiencing the personalised service from CocoCards and seeing the beautiful cards and quality of the paper they print on, I would be happy to order bespoke stationery from CocoCards again next time I realise there’s no need to have Baby Girl organise our cards.
