0Surviving autumn colds and infections
When you can get away with putting the kids to bed not long after 6pm on a Sunday and the first thing you want to do is boost your own immune system with a cup of your favourite Teapigs Superfruit tea, it’s a sign it’s autumn.
Tonight we all seemed to need an early night after the kids have been picking up one infection after the other. Sixteen-month-old Baby Boy has managed to catch two strains of hand, foot, mouth disease in a month, and when he recovered last week four-year-old Big Girl got unwell with another infection.
I ended up only having one day with both kids in school and nursery that week. Most of the time I was back and forth to the pharmacy and the GP and up and down the stairs to the kitchen.
I’ve made more hot chocolates in the past weeks than in the past six months combined, and when we were going to a 40th birthday party on Friday, Daddy T came down with manflu an hour before we were meant to be there, so I was forced to go solo.
Please, make this stop.
I really need some time to recover after looking after everyone!
