2Taking baby on the bus
Baby Girl and I did something crazy yesterday. We went shopping. For an Oyster card. It’s not that I haven’t used one before. I just haven’t used one for eight months.
Baby Girl and I have not been big on public transport. We walk, drive or take a black cab. She’s not been on the tube yet and she’s only been on the bus three times.
But I’m starting to like taking the bus with Baby Girl. It’s easy to get on and off and so far there’s always been space for the buggy.
On Tuesday, Baby Girl and I even made friends on the bus. We met another mum and baby in the buggy section, and learnt all about baby-friendly places in Parsons Green, where we were.
Taking the bus with baby is practically like going on a personalised sightseeing tour – and with our new Oyster card that’s a £1.40 personalised sightseeing tour.
A couple years ago I had terrible moments on London’s buses with two kids – I am glad that has changed then!
I haven’t tried with two yet though! But one works 🙂
