0Taking baby under water
I’ve never counted to two seconds as fast as I did yesterday. I was in the pool at Purple Dragon with Baby Girl and our swimming instructor from Swimming Rocks told me to dip her under water for two seconds. My two seconds ended up being more like a millisecond.
I was covering for Daddy T, who usually takes Baby Girl to her weekly swimming class, and I didn’t feel particularly confident about doing the exercises with her. I’d much rather go back to having my twenty minutes to perfect my golf swing in the simulator instead.
I’ve stopped watching Baby Girl’s swimming class because in the beginning I ended up shouting at Daddy T after every class. Baby Girl cried a lot the first times she was dipped under water, and I found it very upsetting to watch and didn’t want him to keep taking her under.
But now Baby Girl has moved on and I’m the one who’s stuck in the past. She’s a pro. She even came up smiling after being dipped under.
I guess it was pretty amusing that her mummy was so bad at counting the two seconds though. Low latency is apparently not a key performance indicator in baby swimming.
