0Taking care of a baby with a cold
Every day I email Daddy T a picture of Baby Girl. Usually Baby Girl is smiling, sleeping or boasting a serious look in the photo of the day, but yesterday I sent a different version. Her face was red, she was screaming and flexing her arms. In the subject line, I put: “Interested in swapping jobs?”
It’s practically exhausting taking care of a baby with a cold. When we woke up yesterday, even Daddy T commented that it had been his worst night ever. And he hadn’t even been up. But Baby Girl and I had been up four times to clear her blocked nose.
In addition to waking up every other hour during the night, Baby Girl has been even crankier than normal. I had to put on the Five Little Monkeys song on YouTube several times to cheer her up yesterday.
And in the afternoon, I decided to do something else to make her happy. I took her to see her doctor. Not even a cold will stop her from smiling when she sees her favourite paediatrician Dr Kingi Aminu.
