0The best baby books
For the first time since Baby Girl was born, I’ve found time to read a book. But my taste in books seems to have changed in the last six weeks.
Previously, I only read chic-lit, mainly focusing on books with a pink or purple cover. When we were buying books before going on holiday, Daddy T could typically guess which books I would like based on the look of the covers, and he used to complain that there was a pretty limited range of books I fancied reading.
Now, he should be impressed. I’ve found a new type of books to get excited about. And I think my new taste will fit well with Baby Girl’s interests when she’s a few months older.
My latest addiction is baby touch books. Midwife and baby expert Vicki Scott, who has been helping us in the last two weeks, suggested a few books I could buy for Baby Girl. We’ve now bought the double-sided Tiny Love baby book, two baby touch books by Ladybird and a noisy book by Usborne.
I’m sure Baby Girl will love her new book collection. But they also fit my new lifestyle – around ten pages, mostly pictures and a few furry animals to add to the excitement. Perfect reading material for busy mums.
