0Brunch at mummy-friendly The Breakfast Club in Battersea
I’m not sure if it’s the slogan ‘today is going to be a good day’ she likes, or if it is the people watching, the scrumptious breakfast dishes, the friendly service, or the babyccinos with marshmallows, but Baby girl loves The Breakfast Club on Battersea Rise.
When I asked her what she wanted to do the other Friday, she said: ‘I want to go to befast club’. She first wanted to go with a friend, but when I said it would be the two of us and we could have a nice chat and bring The New Baby sticker book, she was fine with that arrangement too.
This is our secret place–which is really not so secret at all considering it’s buzzing with mummies and antenatal groups on weekday mornings and on weekends there’s usually a queue outside (which can look daunting but moved quickly last time we tried). In our family, however, it’s only Baby Girl and me who know about The Breakfast Club. Daddy T has never been, as we go with other mums and children, or on weekends when he’s away.
Soon we’ll have to take him though. It’s become one of our favourite brunch spots, and it’s ideal for families with young children, as it’s pram-friendly and laid back.
This one is worth the queue.
