0First times in the pram
I was convinced that taking Baby Girl out in her pram would have a soothing effect on her. But in her case, the outcome seems to depend on where we’re going.
She always seems to be on her best behaviour if we’re out shopping or going to a café. Walking for the sake of walking, however, does not appear to be her cup of tea.
We’ve tried to go for walks in the park three times now, but a walk in the park is not exactly a ‘walk in the park’ when we have her with us.
On SundayI felt completely drained after being out for one hour, as she had been crying on and off for most of the time. We passed lots of other parents with buggies, and none of their babies were making any noises at all. In fact, ours seemed to be the only one who hated the park, and it was almost a bit embarrassing.
Maybe all the fuss is my fault though. I very seldom go for a walk without having a café or a shop in sight. Perhaps this is simply what Baby Girl recognises from her time in the womb, and that’s why she finds shopping and café trips more soothing. She obviously shares the same interests as her mummy.
