The Toy Store opens must-see toy shop for mini Londoners

Sylvanian Families The Toy Store Oxford StreetTop London toy shops are always on my list of favourite destinations when we have visitors from abroad or simply need a fun afternoon activity, and I was super excited to take the family to the grand opening of The Toy Store on Oxford Street on Thursday.

The Toy Store, which has seen success with toy shops in The Middle East, has opened its first UK store in West One Shopping Centre above Bond Street Station. The 27,000 square feet shop is set over two floors, but the majority is on one floor and it is bright and open. The style of the shop, combined with the impressive and colourful displays, makes it’s easy to get an overview of where to find different toys despite the large selection of brands and the shop feels like an attraction on its own.

Since Baby Girl is very into Sylvanian Families now, I was thrilled to see the large Sylvanian Families collection and giant-sized bunnies, which she wanted to be photographed with. For girls, I also loved the large choice of dolls, and a Bratz selfie booth, Barbie catwalk and doll nursery.

Bratz Selfie Booth The Toy Store Oxford StreetFor boys, I couldn’t help stopping to check out the car collection. Bentley, Porsche, Range Rover – there were more than enough cool toy cars to choose from. Thomas The Tank Engine was also there to climb into, and a large selection of Thomas The Tank Engine toys. I also found a Fireman Sam section, and in a few years, I’m sure we will be all over the Star Wars and Marvel figures too.

With a number of fun activities and giant-sized toys to see, I know I’ll add The Toy Store to my list of places to go with the kids when we’re in the area and to go when we have friends with kids visiting London.
