03 things to do in London with kids this weekend
Chelsea Charity Street Party on 11 June
On Saturday afternoon Cranley Mews in Chelsea will be the place to see and be seen, with the street being transformed into a party venue. Friends of Friends (FoF), a Chelsea- based lifestyle service company, is organising the big event, which will be divided into two areas–one for adults with deck chairs and a DJ and one for families with entertainment by Sharky & George, Festival Faces, The Official Dance Party and Rockabilly Kids. There will be face painting, dancing and picnic tables, as well as a complementary gift for the first 500 mums entering the event. Local favourites like Sophie’s Steakhouse, The Henry Root and Raffles are also contributing with food stalls, and there will also be boutique stalls at the non-profit event, which aims to raise awareness and funds for Ataxia UK–the name given to a group of neurological disorders. The street party starts at 2pm and finishes at 8.30pm, and although it is free to attend, a donation of £5 is expected from guests.
Monkey Music Saturday Workshop on 11 June
Popular music class provider Monkey Music is hosting special Saturday summer workshops on 11 June in Cineworld on Fulham Road. The workshops will be a fun start to the weekend for little ones, and a great opportunity for parents who may miss out on weekly classes to experience the action. Classes are £20 per child, and start from 9.30am. Book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!
