0When toddler chooses a favourite colour
“I like pink. Mummy likes pink.”
This was the conversation we had on the way home from nursery recently.
I’ve stopped constantly pointing out colours to Baby Girl. Right now, there’s really just one colour we talk about. It’s pink. Everything should be pink.
We’ve stopped using the turquoise and blue tumblers we own. They’re just for guests. At home, 26-month-old Baby Girl is not at all interested in drinking from anything that’s not pink.
To avoid doing more washing up than necessary, I find myself trying to convince her that purple is practically pink and red can really look quite pink sometimes.
Baby Girl is right though. It’s true that I like pink too, and I’ve always bought pink clothes for her. I just feel I’m slightly more open-minded about what colour glass I drink from. Not only in public, but also at home.
