0When toddler learns to say ‘pretty’
I’ve gone through phases when I’ve only chosen neutral colours when having a manicure, but now I can’t see myself wearing subtle nail colours any time soon. Baby Girl has learnt the very important word ‘pretty’, and she’s now in charge of what looks good and not.
When I had blue nails the other week, she took my hand and stared at the nails. After a few moments, she pointed at the blue nails and said ‘pretty’.
When I had my nails done again last week, I completely forgot what would work well with my day-to-day outfits. I only looked through the colours with her in mind, wanting to choose something else she would consider ‘pretty’. In the end, I went for the Watermelon pink by Essie, and they received the seal of approval. They are also ‘pretty’.
With our fashionable 20-month old in the house, I was very excited when putting on a new necklace from my client Olly M Jewellery and wanted to show it to her straight away. Baby Girl instantly took it in her hand and decided that this too is ‘pretty’.
Her new vocabulary is motivating me to wear more colour, jewellery and always ensure my nails are done.
Who wouldn’t want to look ‘pjitty’?
