When toddler starts painting circles
– She’s painted a circle!
I was so excited. I shouted over to the art teacher, who came over to see the masterpiece straight away.
Baby Girl was standing by a wooden easel in family club Purple Dragon. At the very top of her painting, there was a big, beautiful circle.
The art teacher gave 16-month old Baby Girl a ‘I tried very hard today’ star sticker, and after sticking this on her cardigan, Baby Girl looked pretty proud too. A big day for us.
And since that day, I’ve read that it is around this age some toddlers start painting or drawing shapes. I really can’t wait to see a square and a triangle.
Someone will be spending A LOT of time in the art room waiting for the next shape-moment!
