0When a London girl starts talking in sentences
Baby Girl was very happy last Friday. She was sitting in Poliane in Chelsea drinking her babyccino after a doctor’s appointment. She had managed to communicate what she wanted and was smiling with her whole face.
This was all her. She had suggested going to a café– or saying ‘coffee me’–and I had been so excited thinking she’s obviously my little girl who clearly needs a café stop before heading home.
Six days later we found ourselves in No 11 Pimlico Road. This time she was expanding her repertoire to include not only coffee but also lunch.
‘Going for lunch.’
Wow! Who can resist that? Of course we’ll go out for lunch when Baby Girl even knows how to say she wants to eat out. It’s no problem if the requests come at 9 in the morning when we’re really planning on going out to play. With these new sentences coming, we can of course have an early lunch.
Keep them coming, Baby Girl! I can’t wait to experience more of what London has to offer with you, as you pick up these brilliant new sentences.
