0Review: Toni the Taxi ride-on Trunki for travelling with kids made fun and easy
Yesterday I was standing outside a shop window with two very excited kids pointing and shouting. They had spotted something they love. Trunki.
Baby Boy, who’s now a toddler and walking, is a newfound fan after receiving the new Toni the Taxi Trunki (£44.99) to review.
Toni the Taxi is a real cutie. I practically ripped it open when it arrived in the post and I was thrilled Baby Boy was napping at the time, so I could have fun personalising the little NYC taxi with stickers from the sticker pack that comes as standard with Toni the Taxi (There are also some Trunki sticker packs sold separately for £2.99).
With the stickers I could give Toni headlights that look like eyes and a real NYC feel with skyscrapers and cool signs. I’m not sure Baby Boy truly appreciated my efforts – apart from the all important eyes of course – but he loves pushing the Trunki around.
In addition to being a perfect way to transport a little one from A to B in an airport, I’ve now realised Trunki is also brilliant for keeping a toddler entertained when waiting to board a plane, waiting at immigration, or waiting to collect the luggage. There’s often a lot of waiting when travelling, and Trunki has three great functions, working as an alternative to a buggy, a ride-on toy, and a suitcase.
When we reach a stage where we wouldn’t need a buggy at our destination, I would only take a Trunki for travelling with Baby Boy. I think they’re great fun for little travellers to ride on and easy for parents to pull.
The size is also very manageable and good for packing for kids. When I packed for a three-week holiday earlier this summer, I packed all Baby Boy’s clothes in the Trunki and it still didn’t weigh more than just over 4 kilos, making it an ideal carry on luggage.
I’m not surprised the kids are excited about Toni the Taxi. I am too.
