London Luxe Christmas 2015
For an exclusive fashion and lifestyle Christmas shopping event in a stylish setting, head to Belgraves Hotel in Belgravia today or tomorrow between 9.30am and 6pm. A number of high-end brands, including British childrenswear brand Sue Hill which I blog for, will be showcasing a selection of Christmas gifts for the whole family. There is free entry to the event, and visitors can enjoy a complimentary light breakfast each morning before 11am, as well as complimentary services by hair, nails and make up specialists from Neville.
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2015
With Hyde Park Winter Wonderland having become the ultimate London Christmas destination, we find ourselves walking around the Christmas market (see picture above) there every year. It’s become a tradition to see the unique and often handmade gifts and crafts, reminding us of traditional Christmas markets. Hyde Park Winter Wonderland opens on Friday this week, and admission is free, but tickets are on sale for attractions in Winter Wonderland, including the Ski Zillertal Ice Rink, The Magical Ice Kingdom, Bar Ice, Giant Observation Wheel and Zippos Circus.
Belgravia Christmas Sunday
I always make an effort to go to the Belgravia Christmas Sunday in the run up to Christmas, as I love this fair for getting in the spirit of Christmas. Charming Elizabeth Street is the ideal setting for picking up a few unique Christmas presents, enjoying a hot drink and seeing the Christmas lights. This year, the event is on Sunday 6 December, and Santa will also make an appearance in a black cab photo booth. True London style!
Dickensian Christmas Festival
Outside London, Rochester hosts a Dickensian Christmas Festival every year, where there are parades with costumed Charles Dickens characters, carol singing, a Christmas market and more. I found it charming and quirky when we visited the festival a few years back, and when Big Girl starts reading Charles Dickens books I will take her there for what I think would be a memorable family experience. This year, the festival is on 5 and 6 December, and Rochester is easy to get to by train from London.
