3 top lunch boxes for summer picnics

In the last few months I’ve been packing lunch boxes several times a week despite the fact that we’re not bringing packed lunches to nursery or any activities. It’s simply the beautiful weather that has resulted in more time spent outdoors and the picnic blanket coming just about everywhere. Here are my three favourite lunch boxes:

BEABA Isothermal Meal Box
For mums who sometimes pack hot foods or leftovers from yesterday’s supper in lunch boxes, BEABA Isothermal Meal Box is a brilliant choice. I received one to review and after starting to use it, I kept discovering new features. It is practically a plate with high sides and a suction cup underneath, making it good for helping kids keep the bowl on the table. It has a lid with ergonomic cutlery and I use the space in the lid to store additional bits and bobs we want to pack for the meal. The feature that really makes it stand out though is the freezer and microwave-safe pouch, which can help keep food at the right temperature on the go. A very practical lunch box for mums who like packing a proper meal and not simply a snack.

Yumbox
I recently bought some extra Yumboxes after reviewing one earlier in the year. We use them all the time because I regularly include yoghurt or a dip in a lunchbox and Yumbox (£24.95) has a food tray with different compartments and is seal proof, meaning it’s not only ideal for packing different foods but also for including liquid foods.

We often pack sandwiches in the largest section and I can then pack a little spoon in there too for the yoghurt. The only downside is there’s no dedicated space for cutlery, but I can fit a short spoon for the yoghurt in the large section. Excellent for packing a varied snack.

Lifefactory
For a little snack, I regularly use the Lifefactory glass container with a silicone sleeve, which I received to review last year. Since it’s glass, it’s heavier than other alternatives, but I like the colourful sleeve and the fact that it’s glass because of the benefits of using glass products.
