0Using a baby shopping service
There’s so much to buy again, which is exactly what I needed to cheer me up in the cold weather. I love preparing for weaning. Finally a valid reason to return to Babylist – an appointment-based baby shopping service in London.
We had a consultation with Annabel at Babylist when I was around five months’ pregnant, and she helped us prepare for Baby Girl’s arrival by talking us through everything we needed for transportation, travel, feeding, sleeping and so on.
Babylist is all about the service. The consultants spend time with their customers and make shopping for baby equipment easy for parents-to-be.
In the showroom, both standard essentials and truly unique pieces are on display. They have everything from Peter Reed changing mat covers and towels to hand-smocked nighties with Jemima Puddle Duck design. I love being there surrounded by all the beautiful baby furniture, wall art, clothes and equipment.
That’s why I couldn’t wait to go back. I had a credit note to spend, so it was the perfect opportunity to pick out a few weaning products and some basic cotton bodies in larger sizes.
A cup of tea, a chat and a look around with Baby Girl lying over the shoulder and we were all set. We walked out with a new weaning gadget, food trays on order and cotton bodies packed up. Even my extremely particular Baby Girl seemed to appreciate this private shopping experience.
