0New opening: Visiting Clip ‘n Climb Chelsea
On Monday, I emailed Daddy T at work with a video from a slide. This time it wasn’t Baby Girl who was going down. It was me. Me dressed in something that reminded me of a racing car suit and with climbing equipment stuck underneath.
I was testing the Leap of Faith, a vertical drop slide, at South West London’s latest family attraction Clip ‘n Climb, as I’d been invited to come try the different challenges (see the slow motion video of me here Tine on Leap of Faith).
Clip n’ Climb offers a range of climbing-based activities in addition to the thrilling slide. I was very impressed when I walked into the colourful newly-opened centre–located next to the Harley Davidson shop on the Chelsea/Fulham border–and it was great fun to climb up different themed-challenges, including a face-to-face climbing wall and an ice climb wall, where I was given sticks to climb up. The experience also felt safe, with automatic belay devices taking in the slack as I climbed up and then lowering me down again when I jumped off.
You definitely don’t have to be little to enjoy the experience, but it’s suitable for all ages from 4 years and over. And those who want to watch from the side instead can enjoy coffee and cake in the café where there’s a large communal table, a sofa group and building blocks for little children.
I’m not surprised that the friendly and welcoming staff at Clip ‘n Climb Chelsea have already had a number of requests from mums wanting to arrange their children’s birthday parties here. This venue is brilliant for children and adults alike, and I can’t wait to go back, as for me, this was a super fun way to exercise!
Clip ‘n Climb Chelsea offers 90-minute long sessions, including a 30-minute induction, and the venue can also be hired for exclusive use for up to 30 people.
