05 things worth knowing before visiting Peppa Pig World
1. Getting around
Peppa Pig World is an area within Paultons Park, and families with young children might enjoy bringing a buggy to make the walk from the entrance to Peppa Pig World stress-free. After entering Peppa Pig World, however, all the themed rides are close to each other. There are now 9 rides in Peppa Pig World, with The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride and Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club being the newest additions. Paultons Park is a huge theme park, and there are animals and birds to see, as well as other rides to try outside Peppa Pig World.
2. Managing queues
On our first visit, we received tickets from Days Out and arrived at the opening time, and there was a large group of people who tried walking quickly to Peppa Pig World. In the morning, the queues were never too long, and the longest queue we joined was for meeting Peppa and George. If queues are building up, there’s always the option to explore one of the play areas, such as the large outdoor Mr Potato’s Playground, the Muddy Puddles water play area, or the indoor soft play area George’s Spaceship Playzone. In addition, I would recommend going on the rides just outside Peppa Pig World, where we’ve hardly had to queue at all when we’ve visited. There’s a Viking Boats ride and a Victorian Carousel in this area, for example.
3. Consider booking a Peppa Pig World Early Pass
The Peppa Pig World Early Pass is available to pre-book on select days throughout the year. I’m yet to visit Peppa Pig World on a Peppa Pig World Early Pass day, but I’ve heard about it from friends. The rides open at 9.45am for Peppa Pig World Early Pass ticketholders, and from 9am visitors with the pass can play in the George’s Spaceship Playzone and on the playground, as well as enjoy a personal meeting with Peppa and George.
4. Bring waterproofs or swimwear
When we had been invited to Peppa Pig World in Paultons Park to celebrate the Save the Children Peppa Pig’s Muddy Puddle Walk campaign (see photo above), we visited the park on a cold day and I had then brought waterproofs and wellies for the children to ensure they could play in the Muddy Puddles water play area. On a gorgeous summer day, many will want to come prepared with swimwear and towels.
5. Exploring the shops
Peppa Pig’s Toy Shop in Peppa Pig World has an extensive selection of Peppa Pig-themed toys and accessories, and there’s also a large gift shop to walk through by the Paultons Park exit – The Big Toy Shop. I’ve previously bought some Peppa Pig items in The Big Toy Shop too, but this shop sells plenty of other brands, including My Little Pony and Shopkins.
