Weekend break: Why I can’t wait to go back to Chewton Glen

When we went to Chewton Glen in the New Forest area before we had Baby Girl, I was amazed with how many activities there were on offer in this beautiful countryside hotel. It was the very first time I went on a weekend break in the country and felt I could have stayed for a week without even thinking about getting bored.

But at that time, it was Daddy T and me playing croquet on the lawn, enjoying some ice cream by the outdoor pool, going on a stroll through the woods and down to the beach and playing golf on the hotel’s nine-hole par 3 golf course.

Now I keep thinking this would have been the perfect luxury hotel to visit with the family for a brilliantly British countryside escape. In fact, I was convinced we would have loved visiting Chewton Glen with Baby Girl even before I read this family-friendly hotel has welcome activity packs, mini bath robes, slippers, baby wellington boots, high chairs, swimming nappies and more for little guests.

I’m sure Baby Girl would have been very excited about the outdoor swimming pool, going for short walks and attempting to play croquet. In a few years from now, she could also make use of the hotel’s tennis courts and the bikes they have for guests to borrow.

Chewton Glen is among the best of the best when it comes to fantastic countryside hotels – and if that’s not enough, it’s also within easy reach of Peppa Pig World. We’ll definitely be back with Baby Girl in tow!
