Weekend lunch with children at No 11 Pimlico Road

Fruit Plate No 11 Pimlico RoadBaby Girl and I started our weekend a day early this week. On Friday we went for a girly lunch to one of our favourite restaurants–the restaurant we also chose for Baby Girl’s second birthday party.

This time we weren’t there to dance and see a magic show though. We had been invited to try the lunch menu at No 11 Pimlico Road, and we were met with a lovely table set up with colour-in sheets for Baby Girl. She climbed up on her chair–choosing the grown-up chair over one of the restaurant’s many high chairs–and decided to order macaroni and cheese for lunch.

The children’s menu is brilliant for little ones, also including fish cakes and a hamburger. Both the hamburger and fish cakes are served with fries, which Baby Girl absolutely loves, but the restaurant has let me replace fries with greens for her too on previous visits.

For dessert, little ones can choose between an ice cream sundae and fruit plate, and the fruit plate was really impressive on Friday. It was beautifully presented, and included everything from blackberries and sliced banana to pomegranate apples and figs. Delicious. So good that I had to steal a few pieces from Baby Girl.

But it’s not only the fruit salad that makes No 11 Pimlico Road one of my favourite places to go for brunch or lunch near Sloane Square. I’ve always found the staff to be super friendly, and many of them remember Baby Girl’s name and don’t seem to mind that she sometimes decides to make the most of the spacious restaurant and run around.

The Little People menu at No 11 Pimlico Road is £7.50 for two courses
