0When children are old enough to go to Disneyland
After taking 23-month old Baby Girl to Disneyland Paris this summer a lot of friends have asked me if she was old enough to enjoy the experience. I realise most want to wait with going there until children are older, but I simply couldn’t wait.
I couldn’t wait to see the joy on Baby Girl’s face when she met with her biggest idol Minnie Mouse and when she saw the dancing dolls singing ‘It’s a Small World’.
When I was little my family travelled to Disney World in Florida a number of times before I turned seven, and I have so many happy memories from these holidays. I think the experience of going to a Disney park will be different for every age group. This year, Baby Girl got excited about little things she won’t find exciting in two years’ time.
Although she was way too young to go on some of the rides we would have loved to go on, such as Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain, there were more than enough for Baby Girl to do in the park, and for us, the magic was seeing her happy face.
I would perhaps not have taken 23-month-old Baby Girl if the trip had been meant to be a one-off experience and we could have waited instead. But for anyone who’s like us who can’t wait to start going on trips to Disneyland, there’s no time like the present.
I’m already thinking about how soon we can go back.
