2When baby gets excited about new toys
Eight-month old Baby Girl knows how to get her hands on the best toys. In fact, I think she’s developed a three-step strategy for ensuring a continuous supply of new toys for her playpen.
Step 1 is to be overly excited about toys that don’t belong to her. At a play date the other week, she found a wiggly ladybird that she loved, which made me think she should have her own ladybird.
Step 2 is to be overly excited about toys that don’t belong to her – again. At a play date on Monday, she found the same ladybird, convincing me that she clearly loved this toy and couldn’t go a day more without her own ladybird.
Step 3 is to be overly excited about toys that previously didn’t belong to her, but suddenly appear in her playpen. Baby Girl couldn’t have had a bigger smile on her face when the brand new Wiggle Giggle ladybird from Early Learning Centre arrived in her playpen yesterday. Mission complete.
One lucky girl! But its kind of interesting – do you think our kids at the age of 8 months can remember the toys they see and remember they don’t belong to them?
Not sure. Maybe they just know what they like! My one seems to have a strong personality already
