0When baby loves bookshelves
When I first heard that one of the schools in the area preferred ‘bookish children’, I was wondering how I could possibly know if I had a ‘bookish child’ or not at the age of four. But I no longer have to worry. Baby Girl is already proving to like books.
She likes them so much that our bedroom floor is covered in books every morning. Now that she can sit on her knees and pull herself up, the bookshelf is a clear favourite. It’s placed next to where I put my make-up on, so in the two minutes I spend to get myself ready in the morning Baby Girl sits next to me pulling out at least ten books.
If this doesn’t count as bookish, I don’t know what does. I’m certainly expecting Baby Girl to fly through that assessment when the time comes.
