When girly wool clothes is the best answer

OSLO GIRL DRESS,NIGHT BLUEIn the last week I’ve been secretly hoping Big Girl would consider putting on a pair of trousers. It would have been so practical for keeping warm instead of having her run around in summery dresses. But it’s not happened yet.

The good news is that she received a wool dress from grandparents for Christmas, a smart, long-sleeved, night blue dress from WoolLand Norway (£89), and this meets both her and my criteria for sensible January clothing.

She likes that it has the much-needed ruffled skirt, and I assume she also likes that it’s soft and comfortable for her to wear. I like that even though she’s not wearing trousers and a jumper, which I think could have been practical, I don’t have to worry about sending her out in too thin clothing.

With a WoolLand base layer underneath and the long-sleeved wool dress over she didn’t appear to get cold when I was freezing yesterday. There was no cardigan she could take off and it was generally a low-risk outfit for ensuring she stayed warm throughout the day.

When trousers and jumpers are not an option, girly wool clothes are my best bet for winter.
