0When it makes sense to get an ID band for toddler
On Thursday, I picked up a very proud Baby Girl from nursery. She was wearing a new necklace she had made using pasta shapes. With her newfound interest in jewellery, she was equally excited about the new pink silicone wrist ID band I gave her later in the day. Like her necklace, the wrist ID band was also pretty unique. I had received a complimentary personalised wrist ID band for her from AbsoluteID to review, and it had a stainless steel tag with her name and our contact details on to keep her safe.
The infant size of the colourful wrist ID, which comes in four sizes, is small enough to fit my 15-month old, but she can take it off if she wants to. To avoid her taking it off, I’ve tucked it under her cardigans or tops, and she then keeps it on. In a few months time, I’m sure it will be even easier for her to wear, and that’s also when I know I’ll really find this product very useful.
I want Baby Girl to wear her wrist ID when we’re in crowded places, when we’re travelling, or when she’s being looked after by someone else than Daddy T or me. For me, it’s about safety and providing easy access to our contact details.
On the three lines on the rust-proof steel tag, I’ve included her name, my mobile phone number and Daddy T’s mobile phone number. Instead of two phone numbers, we could have used one line to include medical details, allergies or her blood group.
At £11, I think this wrist ID makes a good buy for active families or children with allergies – or someone searching for a unique Christmas present for a special toddler.
