0When mum gets a spare half hour
When three-year-old Big Girl went to a school assessment last week I managed to drink two cups of tea in half an hour. It probably looked like I was trying to get the most from the registration fee we’d paid, but in reality it was just me trying to make the most of my free time.
That same morning I’d boiled water in a kettle twice at home but never managed to get to the stage where I’d filled water in a mug. It seemed like such a treat to get to sit in a relaxing waiting area and enjoy a cup of tea.
I’ve come to like school assessments suddenly. Despite the stress of waiting to hear back from schools, it’s at least given me the chance to not only have one but two cups of tea on a weekday morning.
I could get used to this!
