0When practice contractions intensify
I’m not convinced the message about Wednesday’s Diptyque event has really sunk in. I’ve once again tried to explain to Baby Girl that we like Diptyque scented candles, and we would not want to miss a Diptyque masterclass with a ticket redeemable against purchase.
But Baby Girl seems to be insistent on spicing up life by preparing for her entrance into the world before the one day I really want to go to Liberty. I’m painstakingly aware that what used to be Braxton Hicks are probably more like the real thing now.
I’m regularly reaching for my iPhone, pressing the start button on the contractions app, and I’ve already called my obstetrician once to confirm exactly when it is time to start panicking.
Daddy T started panicking just after I had finished that call. Ending a conversation with the obstetrician with the words “speak soon” did not exactly comfort him, so now we’re both leaning over my bump, trying to tell Baby Girl to stay put for a few more days until she will be safely lifted out at a pre-arranged time.
