0When to introduce baby to books
When we went to see our friends’ three and a half-week old baby yesterday, I got a bit confused. The little cutie looked like a peaceful doll fast asleep in her buggy.
It made me think I really didn’t know much about babies nine months ago. When Baby Girl was that age, I was determined to buy a few exciting books for her. I have no idea what I was thinking. She couldn’t even smile and I was expecting her to enjoy books.
But our baby book collection has not gone to waste. Baby Girl is very into her books now. She’s so into them that she pulled off one of the flaps in her Baby Touch Peekaboo book yesterday after spending ages feeling the texture of a furry bunny.
Ladybird’s Baby Touch range is ideal right now. Baby Girl loves feeling different textures, and I’m tempted to buy more of these large board books for her.
We only use them for playtime though. When getting ready for bedtime, it’s all about Snuggle Bunny, a puppet book we started reading for her every night after her bath from when she was five months old.
There’s not a day without the cute puppet bringing a smile to her face–not to mention to my face which lights up just thinking about how much I love our daily routine.
