When toddler is excited about flying
“We’re going down”
If there were any nervous flyers on our flight on Friday the 13th, I think we owe them an apology. It’s probably not particularly reassuring to keep hearing someone shouting: “We’re going down,” while bending over to look out the airplane window.
But 2.5-year-old Baby Girl always gets very excited about flying, and at the airport she had watched other planes landing.
We hadn’t seen any take-offs that day, so when it was our turn to fly it might have been a bit confusing, and she was only focused on the landing part of flying. I tried telling her that we were not going down, but up, but she was having none of it.
“No, mummy. We’re going down,” she shouted over and over again.
In the end we settled on the fact that we would be going down when it was time for the pilot to land the plane.
